"Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz late on Thursday signed a warrant ordering the evacuation of three illegal West Bank outposts.

The three outposts are Negohot West, in the Hebron hills in the southern West Bank, Givat Assaf, near the West Bank city of Ramallah and Givat Hadegel, near the settlement of Ginot Shomron, Army Radio reported.

According to Army Radio, the evacuation effort is set to begin early next week.

The Yesha Council of Settlements late on Thursday published a statement which said the decision to evacuate the three outposts was revenge on the part of the prime minister, for his failure to approve his disengagement plan in a Likud referendum earlier in the month. The council said that the settlers will do all they can to resist the evacuation in a democratic manner."
