Israel brushes off UN, world condemnation

Reacting to Wednesday's Security Council resolution that criticised the Israelis for the death and destruction in Gaza, Israel insisted it would continue to do whatever it considers appropriate.

"The resolution did not call on Israel to stop its activity and did not call on Israel to stop the demolition of houses," said Dan Gaillerman, Israel's UN ambassador.

I wonder if Israel would be so defiant if the US decided to stop selling that nation weapons. Maybe Israel would be more conciliatory if the US suspended wepon sales (especially sales on "credit") for a year or two.
