could LIHOP/MIHOP be kept a secret?? a possible YES answer

On Tuesday on the DRehm show, sociologist Eviatar Zerubavel was the guest the second hour. He discussed his book "The Elephant in the Room" (Oxford), which deals with
the dynamics of denial in families, social groups, companies and countries.

During the discussion, he said that the more people who are involved in denial the harder it is for the group to face and discuss the truth. Anyone who attempts to discuss the 'elephant in the room' becomes an outcast and is ignored by the rest.

It struck me that this type of analysis might be a way to answer the claim that LIHOP/MIHOP is impossible b/c too many people would have to be involved.

Of course, the approach is perhaps more appropriately applied to the discussion of why there is no thorough public discussion of what happened on 9-11: the country is in major denial.

1. I think it's primarily the ruling elites and the media they own

that are in denial. I'm getting the impression that a significant number of people think that at least LIHOP is at least a possibility.

Just look at public opinion on the JFK assassination: in the 1990's some 70% of Americans believed there was a government conspiracy involved (at the time that was cited as the reason for the production of a documentary that attempted to debunk all JFK CTs - not that i think it achieved that goal). Yet the consensus in the MSM is that it was done by a lone nut.

2. The truth takes time

I see it on this forum every day for the past two weeks.

There are many involved in 9/11 and most would have done a part and only knew a part, however the number of people who know the answer aren't talking since they are involved in this dastardly deed especially since many used the event to their advantage like vultures.

I'm happy to be an outcast in the group here. Two people on DU think that they have a grand view of what happened and the silence is deafening. Especially the OCTers really played hide and seek on those threads unlike the usual 100s replies leading nowhere.

The number will grow. I think that at least 6 people are convinced about a new CT. It started out with 2 people making a video, so it has trippled already.
