Do Dems PUSH POLL??? If so, PP the Draft issue to young(all?) voters!!!
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 08:57 PM by digno dave
Imagine a push poller asking a 18-29 year old...

"Would you be more or less inclined to vote for president bush if he decided to reinstate the draft?"

on edit...hell, ask anyone of any age and it should be effective.

Anyone???

7. Once upon a long long time ago, in my youthful Republican past
I engaged in some Atwater-esque campaign tactics. It seemed reasonable at the time. But, these many years later, I've come to regret what I did. It wasn't entirely honest, it cheapened the political dialogue, and in its own small way it paved the way for the national mess we're in.

My thinking these days is this: if you wouldn't be proud to have your campaign tactic described fairly in the lead story on the front page of your newspaper, don't do it. Don't do it because it isn't right, and at the very least, don't do it because it may just end up on the front page of some newspaper.

Push polling isn't something I'd be proud of.

9. Bravo
While it's tempting to jump in the swill, we need to remain ethical and honest...doing some Atwateresque trick would backfire big on the campaign right at the main theme it's trying to get across. Plus imagine how the media would just spin on this for days...valuable days that we need to get out our important messages over these last 3 weeks.

Kudos and glad you "saw the light". There are some good things Atwater did, but so overweighed by the devious side and all those who were anxious to carry them out. Evil genius truly applies here.

Cheers!

2. and for people who support the war
"would you still support the war in Iraq if you were sent to fight in it?"

or

"Would you personally be willing to die liberating Iraq?"

3. Not just with young people

1) Do you agree with President Bush that millionaire's needed their tax cut more than our troops need body armor in Iraq?

2) Do you think President Bush's past history of alcohol & drug abuse and deserting the National Guard in a time of war sets a bad example for our children?

3) If President Bush knocked up an underage girl and paid for her then illegal abortion in the 70s, does that make him a flip-flopper on this issue now?

Edited to add:
4) Does Al Qaeda's endorsement of George Bush make you more or less likely to vote for him? (Don't forget, they endorsed him after the Spanish train bombing)

at NCSU. They disappear quickly. I hope that it's people taking them home to check the website on them.

(on edit: I realized this is a PP thread, not a draft thread. Oh well.)
