I want to pitch an Idea and I want to know what all of you think

What if we all hosted pre election get together the night before the election where we would show F 9/11 and show it either at a large hall or at our house.

Say that we spread the word around about the parties all over the Internet and throughout the cities that we live in. We could host parties like we do for the Super-bowl but instead we can make it a "Get out the vote party" or something of that nature or we might possibly call it the "Truth about Bush Party".

Some of us might be able to rent a space in our towns where we could show the movie for free.

If the right wing press is going to show a negative movie about Kerry then why don't we show a move about Bush the night before the election at the same time that the negative Kerry movie is airing.

5. I am hoping to do the following:

My parents live in a retirement village - full of veterans of WWII and Korean War. MANY repubs here. They are so picky about what you can and can not do there. It took me months to talk my Dad into putting Kerry/Edwards signs in his windows. And he wouldn't agree to that till he saw */Cheney signs elsewhere in the 'village'. They have a huge hall for dinners, dancing, etc. I am hoping to get the green light to show a number of films there. And if they won't let me do that, I'll put up an announcement that I have all these movies and books too, that can be borrowed from me.

The village office is closed till Monday so guess where I'll be going? Well, maybe Tuesday. My Dad is having surgery on Monday and I'll be at the hospital most of the day.

So keep your fingers crossed for me. For my Dad first - for successful surgery, and two, for me to get permission to have 'movie night' - more like 'nights'. I have a LOT I can show. :)

Ideas for others - try retirement homes, VFW Halls, YMCA, any place that has a large area where people can gather. If your church is sorta liberal, do it there. Mom & Pop bookstores - show it on the wall if you have to. Just show them! :) (If you offer to show them, you might not be charged for the room use.)

8. We're having a party here in Long Beach, CA on Oct. 16...

... we're calling it the "Pre-Election Presidential Recall Party." We will be showing "Bush's Brain", "Outfoxed", and "F9/11" , as well as video compilations from the internet called "Bush TV" by Hats Without Jobs. We are having a live band and a potluck.

This should be a great party.
