Repubs run TRIAL Lawyer for Florida Senate Seat and worse

the guy running against Betty Castor was PRESIDENT of the florida state trial lawyers association!!

"As an attorney Martinez tried a number of personal injury cases, and became known as an advocate for Spanish-speaking immigrants. In 1988 he became president of the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers -- service that is absent from his official HUD and campaign biographies."

How about this from his repub primary opponent:"During the Senate primary, McCollum called Martinez the "John Edwards of Florida" and a "liberal trial lawyer."'

Notice this clip says that martinez has left his trial lawyer bit out of his official biographies! Now how is that gonna jibe with the multi-million dollar upcoming repub/chamber of commerce media slam against Edwards (from DU breaking news list) for being a trial lawyer?

And more importantly....how can we turn this issue on Bush? Suggestions?

-the lawyer thing...

-also, the Cuban thing will not go over well with the Redneck Repug North Florida wing of the party.

-Martinez's ties to Bush do not make him as popular as you would think with the exile community.
