Kerry to Moderator..If this president makes people sign loyalty oaths?
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 01:18 PM by vetwife
If he is a president to all of the people. He lied to America in 2000 by saying he was going to be a president to all of the people. I ask no one to sign loyalty oaths, its unamerican. I hope he says it. I Hope he says it. Send the Kerry Campaign or DNC this statement. If I can't get into C-Span please please someone ask that question to any of the hosts. Call Washington Journal and email those questions to the media whores.... Get it out there !

1. Great Idea!
You know, besides being horrified that BushCo actually requires people to sign a 'loyalty oath', I'm horrified that there are Americans out there who will actually do it! (even the ones who do like * shouldn't do it, it IS unAmerican).

6. A republican friend of mine says the loyalty oaths don't exist.
The basis for this statement is the fact that she went to a Bush rally and didn't have to sign one. Of course, this was after the oaths were exposed and ridiculed, so they weren't in use anymore.

I tried to prove their existance to her with several articles and even a photo of the oath. Her answer? The reports are merely a product of the "liberal media" which is not to be trusted and the photo was photoshopped just like the Killian memos.

Ya just can't convince some people. She also thinks the world is 6000 years old and she wrote a big paper in high school on the "flaws" in the theory of evolution.

9. On the bright side, I guess there's a glimmer of 'health' in your friend
if she won't believe the existence of loyalty oaths because the idea of having to sign one is so repugnant.

P.S. re: your friends HS paper ... why do people like this find it so hard to realize that God lives 'outside of time', whereas we humans are locked in time. "A day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day" - paraphrasing the bible

15. She's a friend? What on earth do you talk about? Did you explain
(ala Edwards) that the earth is round and the sun rises in the East? What's her position on that? :D

16. We try to avoid politics.
People ask me how we can remain friends, and to be honest I'm not sure. If there were ever any kind of real fight for the soul of this country, she and I would be shooting at each other.

Believe me, when the Kerry victory comes, I will gloat my ass off.

11. Yes, it's almost worse in my eyes.
I really like Kerry, and I whole-heartedly support him for president. However if I went to rally for Kerry and they ordered me to sign a loyalty oath in order to attend, I would really change my position on him. In this particular election, I'm certain I would still vote for him because I loathe Dumbya so much, but I would probably stop actively campaigning for him if that happened. Thank goodness Kerry understands how un-American that is. But doesn't that reveal something really frightening about Dumbya supporters? That they would be willing to swear allegiance to him no matter what, as if he were some kind of emperor? That is positively fucked up.

3. Should of used it in debate 2

I posed on the Kerry forums asking him to use the loyalty oaths in debate #2. It would of been a great slam.

7. This could be a response to "you can run but you cant hide"
When Bush uses that line, Kerry could say somthing like-

Bush hides from the people by making everyone at his rallies sign "Loyalty oaths"- I welcome all to my speeches...

He hides from the press becuase he cant answer the tough questions- he has given fewer press conferences than any modern president-including his Father.

As far as hiding goes,Osama Bin Laden is hiding still- I can take care of that.

8. Here's another question/zinger
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 01:58 PM by fed2dneck
Kerry to mod: If this president makes his supporters sign a loyalty oath before they can attend his rallies, how much longer will it be before we see the president making Americans sign loyalty oaths before they can get a job or government assistance?

10. Would be sweet if he had a copy of one of the oaths in his pocket and
pulled it out to show to the camera during the debate!

Is THIS a uniter, not a divider?
Is THIS the America we want and deserve?

12. I think the question should be posed anyway ! Also when you drive
stick in Johnny B Good in the CD or tape player watch heads turn ! If you get out at a store let it keep playing. I do and people even in this r-winged community sing along. It is sort of subliminal or sulimmmineal as Bush would say it !
