That concern goes beyond mere differences about policy to questions about basic competence. During his time in public life, Kerry has proved himself to be an intelligent, diligent student of world and national affairs with the courage to take the lead at times when others would shirk the burden.
It's time to give competence a chance.

4. Actually, the editorial page is liberal overall.

They have some really good writers like Jay Bookman who was one of the few people writing substantive things about the PNAC during the propaganda runup to the Iraq Invasion.
