37. At debate here in St. Louis my 8 yr old daughter made a sign
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 09:06 AM by GumboYaYa
that said "Republicans for Voldemort." As we were walking to our spot assigned by the Kerry campaign we passed a group of Bush supporters. At first they thought her sign was supporting them. It took a few minutes for them to get that the joke was on them.

38. My kids have that bumper sticker, "Republicans for Voldemort"
I put it on a magnetic strip so I can put it on the car every once in a while (I rotate different ones). It's funny to look in the rearview mirror and watch the expressions on people's faces when they finally get the joke. Most burst out laughing. Lol!

Why else would "adults" insist that a child apologize for telling the truth?

He said it at the end of the show. Kopple asked Jack who he wanted to win, he said Daddy. Then he said Bush is dumb. The part about the WH wanting an apology is sarcasm.

6. Kids that age tend to call them as they see them
Any parent can tell you how blunt kids are at that age.

The WH should be frightened rather than pissed...out of the mouths of babes comes the truth

They still haven't figured out how to get one elected, though.

From stealing an election to letting the terrorists fly, the guy's been one constant screw-up. Hey, AlienHair Koppel! Let me on Nightline. There are a few things I'd like to say.

12. Is this for real? Is there a link?
What do they intend to do to the kid, pound him if he doesn't "apologize"? Have Uncle Dickiebird read him a scary story?

From what I've heard, you can't tell whether he said "This is dumb" or "Bush is dumb".

18. Jack is ADORABLE! I heard him say it on 'Nightline' last night.
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 07:42 AM by txindy
Ted Koppel did an interview with John Edwards in Ohio, travelling with him on the bus, and attending rallies. It was good. I only caught it because it was on the channel next to the Boston-NY game and I channel-surfed during a commercial. At the very end of the show, Senator Edwards went back to his hotel and his two youngest were waiting to greet him. Koppel asked Jack (after they shook hands!) who he was voting for. Naturally, like a four-year-old boy he grinned, shrugged, and wasn't going to give a clear answer right away. Then he said, "Daddy." That was followed by, "Bush is dumb!" I think Jack even said it twice, but I only caught on to what he said the second time. I was ROLLING!

His father laughed and told him something like, "No, now, careful with the negative attacks, Jack!" Both of them were grinning. It was adorable! My 12-year-old son had been given permission to stay up very late to see the end of the game and he watched the interview with me. HE was rolling, too! It was hysterical. "Did he really say what I think he said?!" "Yes, he did!" I can empathize heartily, too. My boys used to come out with the darnedest things at the precise moment when I wanted them to say something completely different. ;) It happens -- and it's funny. :) They'll be teasing Jack about this story when he's a father of his own. "Remember when you called the president 'dumb' on national TV?!" Lol!

took a vote and Kerry won. Now if bush wins this election ,we will truely know the dummies from the smart on this planet. Perhaps we should let kids vote, they have a honest feel for peoples sincerity, for the most part they can tell bush is a big phony !

LOL This is great! It'll give 'em something to discuss.

People for Bush will loathe it.
People for Kerry will love it.
And the undecideds can't decide either way anyway whether they do or don't like it.
