Did I Ever Tell You About the "Omen"??

Remember how we waited for Kerry to name a VP?? Well in the afternoon of the day he named Edwards, I was on the golf course. I just finished a putt when my husband said "quick, look up. I didn't want to say anything while you were putting". I saw that people were looking up and pointing all around me on different holes. A bald eagle was soaring, absolutely magistically, overhead. I hadn't seen one in a good 35 years and didn't know they even existed where I now lived. From out of nowhere I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my back...I could never describe it to anyone. I felt the nightmare was over. I keep thinking about that eagle.

and then there's "Wolfen". Sorry, getting into a Halloween mood when I hear "The Omen".

6. I had a similar experience this past summer

I was in a sailboat with my daughters looking for whales. We sailed past a cliff with craggy rocks off shore. A bald eagle took off from one of the rocks and I excitedly pointed it out to my daughters. As we watched it fly away I felt really good and peaceful about the upcoming election.

The only weird part was that we were in Nova Scotia. Funny, I got a good patriotic feeling in Canada.

Hmmmm......maybe mine was a different kind of omen....
