Just got a fundraising phone call from "Outreach Associates".

Supposedly for the DNC. I'm probably too paranoid, just keying off their too-well-modulated voices, but does anyone know if this is legit? I'm in Chicago; has anyone else gotten these calls tonight or today?

1. I got a call from Outreach Associates earlier

They asked me about if I was in favor of a Const. ammendment banning Gay marriage, if I was pro-life, if I was concerned about whether my taxes would be raised and if I was a Republican? I answered no to all and they said thanks and hung up.

2. A DoJ pdf lists them as "paid solicitors" re: fund-raising -

and gives their address as:

3. They called here in OR also, left a recorded message trying

to sway me to vote for OR Measure 36, anti-gay marriage amendment.

8. director (?) of the company is also a local gov't official in Allegheny Co

Specifically, Borough Secretary Treasurer. Neither she nor the companies have not made any campaign donations, hard or soft, that have appeared on opensecrets.

6. Their name and number showed up on caller ID last night.

I didn't get to the phone in time to answer and they didn't leave a message.
