This is amazing!
Just working little corner of the country, the level of activity is just mind-boggling!

There's hardly been anyone in Maryland for the last several week-ends--we've all gone out, by carpools and busloads, to campaign in neighboring states.

There are about 87 different organizations--from the unions and ACT to little sandlot efforts like mine--rallying, enticing, bullying and exhorting volunteers to join in the fun.

It doesn't always run like clockwork: campaigns never do--and the complexity and scale of this effort is like nothing we've ever seen.
Under the circumstances, I've got to hand it to everybody for making it fit together so well.

At this point in the campaign, things can go a bit tense at times. We're going to get tired and frustrated from time to time. And, let's face it, no matter how well we're doing (and I do think we are doing well) we're all anxious--it ain't a win until we win.

So, keep at it but do make a point of getting sleep. Drink plent of fluid and keep exercising your sense of humor.

Kerry on!

1. Kerry On -- that's so ... perfect... Is anyone using that?
They should be using that on EVERYTHING.
t-shirts, stickers, lampshades... EVERYTHING!

Simple, pure... isn't there a song.... Kerry On?
We gotta be humming that one!

Great...thanks for the inspiration.

AND BRAVO for all the hard work!

6. I stole it (mea culpa)
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 08:10 AM by baltodemvet
Someone (anonymous to me) here in Baltimore came out with "Kerry On, Hon!" bumper stickers. All I did was steal it and strip off the "Hon" (a Baltimore thing--'you wouldn't understand' as they say.)

8. The Democratic ground game is far superior than the GOP's.
Always has been, still is. Saw a special on Nightline last night about this - really good. It's really a big, intricate operation, especially in a places like OH.

The ground game is the one aspect of campaigning we are better at than the GOP, mainly because it's driven by our grassroots people and not the feckless Dem establishment.

Keep up the good work. :toast:
