What I Would Run In Place Of The 'Eagles' Ad
The Eagle thing is nice and all, and I'm sure it will make a lot of people feel good about the Democratic Party and John Kerry.

But it is my belief that when the barbarians are at the gate sweet reason is not what we need. Visceral stuff like spiked clubs and burning oil would be far more appropriate. Here's what I would put on the air if I was a DNC kind of guy:

Footage: Wolves closing in for the kill.

Ominous Voice: According to The Washington Post (8/7/01) in the first 9 months of 2001 George W. Bush headed into Labor Day of that eventful year having racked up a 42 percent vacation rate. 42 percent of his time in office had been spent traveling to vacation spots, boating in Kennebunkport, golfing, resting up at Camp David, or just doing the chores around his ranch in Texas. The wolves were at the door then as well, but rather than recognizing and doing something about this threat President Bush decided that it was more important to catch up on some of the things he enjoyed doing instead. Unfortunately, Osama bin Laden didn't get in much golf that summer. He had other plans.

Footage: World Trade Center in flames.

Can we rally afford to take a chance on George W. Bush? Again?
