Early voting vs. standing in line on election day?
As a decision for one person, this is insignificant, but as a group, I wonder what our thoughts are on this.

Who do long lines benefit on election day? Are we better off contributing to long lines on Nov. 2 or do we benefit if we vote early and "get out of the way?" Who is more likely to turn around and go back home if there are lines down the street, the Bush voter or the Kerry voter? I'm wondering if we should vote early or add to the wait on election day.

2. I'm voting early
Monday, in fact. Why? Because even if you got everyone in my township to line up to vote, it wouldn't be that big of a line :) And because of my work schedule, this way I know I'll be able to vote and not have to rush to the polls on Nov. 2 in hopes I'll get there in time.

4. Vote early
Large turnouts tend to favor Democrats, and the easier and quicker it is for people to vote on election day, the more votes we will get.

So vote early!

Also, if you vote early, you might consider doing GOTV (Get out the vote) on election day with your local democratic headquaters.

Just call them and say, "send me!"
