I'm doubting it will be within 1,000 points of the fateful day when * stole the White House. Of course, * would tell you "everything changed on 9/11." Well, where was the Dow on 9/11 and where was it six months later? The answer: in less than 6 months after 9/11, the Dow had regained it's 9/11 losses.

2. Say, whatever happened to Bush saying that we've "turned the corner"?
For three years, I waited for the Bushites to take responsibility for the economy. It was always clinton's fault, or Osama's fault. Then for a year, the markets went up 14% and despite the lack of jobs growth, the pubs and Bush finally, finally were willing to accept that Bush had effect on the economy. Finally some good news, so they claimed credit.

Well. That growth gone bye-bye.

4. "stocks lost 1 000 points, wages down 1,500, a million jobs lost"
that is a good meme.

Anyone know how many points stocks gained , Clinton?

Clijton, wages up 7,000, jobs.. added 22 million.

5. Dow Needs To Be Below 10,290
I was watching a financial program on TV this morning where the host mentioned that if the Dow is lower on election day than it was on the day that the incumbent party nominated their candidate, the incumbent party loses. The Dow was 10,290 when Bush was nominated and is at 9,757 now so barring a big rally on Wall Street next week.
