Yeeps - the POINT of the weapons thing
which many people are missing - is that there is NO way that it doesn't look really bad for Bush - all the spin afterward, Drudge and Freepers included, is like, totally LOST on most Americans. It doesn't matter - Iraq is Bush's Baby, afore, during, and after.

IF the weapons WERE were spirited away afore - well, golly gee, Colin Powell had all kinds of pik-chures of trucks moving and shit and didn't we have planes that coulda like, seen it and like, DONE something?

IF the weapons were taken AFTER the invasion, then like, why didn't we, like, stop it?

The problem with the explanations, as outlined by Drudge and Buchanan and Rush, etc., is that it's too damn complicated. And the explanations raise as many questions as they answer.

Most Americans are just gonna do a "WTF?" and lay it at Bush's door. After all, their explanations are, like, too nuanced.

3. You are exactly right. That's why Bush is attempting to muddy the waters.
This story is super bad for Chimpy and his crumbling credibility.

4. the point is that they protected the oil and the oil ministry SUCCESSFULLY
but they didn't protect this.

Obviously they could have, and they chose not to.

5. They really have no choice
but to throw out a bunch of confusing and conflicting stories and attacks against the messenger etc. There is no way this IS NOT a big problem for the administration. Their incompetance directly CAUSED the loss of these materials regardless of when and how they went missing.

6. Bush OWNS Iraq
and all that comes down is his, whether he likes it or not.

The ins and outs of the missing explosives and the whens and wherefores don't matter. This is his baby. Period.
