I just finished watching Tweety's replay.
He was doing his job, tonight, and doing it well.

Did anyone else notice this? He seemed like a real journalist.

1. Yes. I'm watching the TiVo of it, and wondering
where he's been hiding.

2. He tends to break hard for the democrats close to the election
I noticed this in 2000. Tim Russert too.

3. But in '00
he voted for Bush. He didn't really give Gore good coverage until the concession speech. I remember he praised that a lot though.

he is not to be trusted. Just wait. He'll go back to bush in the end. He throws us a few crumbs and we all go ape over it. Just wait. He comes from a Republican family.

6. He himself
is or was a democrat. He was a speechwriter for Carter and an aide for Tip O'neil.

His brother is a big time repuke in PA though. He was at the convention and everything.

I don't trust him either, but once in a while he does a great job like when he took on the Swift Liars and Malkin. I think those lies were too much for even him.

7. I think he's sort of an old skool democrat
who is drawn to Reagan republicanism.

He has a Clinton-phobia which pushes him rightwards, but he is manageable.

It's like having Pete Rose on your team., You hated his guts when he was on the Reds (unless you're a Cincinnatian) but loved him on the Phillies (If you're a Philadelphian). When he says something you like, he's redeemed himself for that day.

Where have you heard this before: "I really love you honey...when are we leaving for Tiffany's?"

12. LOL
Well I live in New York. If a player screws up we can just say, "Eh, we'll get 'em next dynasty..."

You are right when you say Matthews can be the hero or the goat depending on who he's batting for on any given day, but unlike Pete Rose, I think he is manageable. I followed Clark in the primaries, and it seemed like when he was on, Matthews would start out with, "You're Hillary's bitch, aren't you?" and end up eating out of the palm of his hand.

Anyway, the prime characteristic of whores is that they know where their bread is buttered. Even Paula Zahn was coming around the other day in that town hall meeting.

For this election, the only thing that matters now is GOTV. I think Matthews will be in line for the next few days, and after the election we can handle him.

13. We'll see.........
but every time we think he's changed, he turns around and stabs us in the back. He's burnt us too many times. What's that saying again? Burn me once, or burn you, or something like that. :-)

15. He's worried about job opportunities after Tuesday. Does anyone know
whether he worked for Reagan before Clinton? Someone told me that.
