Armitage says there's NO information Russia moved Iraq explosives

No information Russia moved Iraq explosive - Washington
MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Washington has no information to indicate that Russia helped the former Iraqi regime transport explosives out of the country, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage told journalists on Thursday.

"I never came across this type of information," he said.

"I suppose the official Pentagon representative already made a statement that he has no such information," Armitage said.

Russia slams report linking it to Iraq’s missing explosives (AFP)

MOSCOW - Russia on Thursday slammed as “made-up nonsense” a report that its forces removed the explosives missing from a military base south of Baghdad before the March 2003 US invasion.

“It is impossible to consider such reports in a way other than made-up nonsense,” said Vyacheslav Sedov, a spokesman for Russia’s defense ministry.

“I officially declare that the Russian defense ministry... cannot be connected with the missing explosives, since Russian military personnel left Iraq long before the Anglo-American military operation in that country,” the Interfax news agency quoted him as saying.

The comments followed a report in the Washington Times late Thursday that said Russian special forces “almost certainly” removed the explosives and sent them to Syria, Lebanon and possibly Iran.

2. I guess this must have come as a surprise to BushCo
After Putin came out for Georgie they must have figured he'd back up any of their lies just to get him back into office.

I guess the White House doesn't quite understand that the whole world thinks the US is a clear and present danger to everyone under this current adminstration.

And for good reason. From Kyoto to Iraq they have rampaged through the world like mad cows.

3. Think we're trying to bring back the Evil Empire?
They made such awesome boogeymen, and nobody's been able to fill that hole since the end of the Cold War. Americans aren't happy with someone to demonize.
