Prayers to elect God's guy

{snips}

Here in North Carolina, according to the (prayer) site, http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org , there were 1,524 people praying for the president and other elected officials, and for the election, as of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

>>>>The Presidential Prayer Team is (supposed to be) a nonpartisan organization not specifically tied to any one religion. Funny, though, when I visited this week, I noticed there were several photos and articles about President Bush, including a special section wishing Laura Bush a happy birthday. There was no mention of John Kerry.

>>>>I asked my local contact whether Kerry supporters, and Ralph Nader supporters, for that matter, could pray, too.

She didn't answer.

"The most important thing to pray for is that 'Thy Will be done,' " she wrote via e-mail. "We must pray for God to lead us in choosing a candidate that would most please Him."

3. What a bunch of freaks
So I assume these "godly" people will accept "god's" will on November 2nd when Kerry is elected. I assume they will keep their freaky presidential prayer site up to pray for Kerry. More than likely, they will not do either of those things. I am sure the "godly" people running this site will see a Kerry win as a win for the devil.

I have half a mind to send the video of W shooting a bird to these righteous imbeciles. Here is your godly president! Amen brothers and sisters!

Religious fanaticism in any form is dangerous and un-American.

4. The true Christian would say a prayer and put it in God's hands
Then when talking about it would say that God will have a hand in the outcome of the election and we must accept that.
Theses people call them selves Christians as dose bush, but none of them actually walk the walk.
More hate comes from the Christian fundamentalist than anywhere. You can see it in their faces and their actions and words.

6. Reply back that you think that God wants Kerry to be President, that
Bush has failed Him.

7. Here's a prayer from a freeper
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 11:33 AM by Connie_Corleone
"Our Royal Master, our brother-President we lift up to You now, unable to comprehend the stresses and pressures he must daily face, as he stands for our Righteous One against the Forces from the Pit that seek his utter and complete Annihilation. O Master, almost the Entire World is aligned against Your servant, George Bush! But our Redeemer Lives, and our Mighty One is Strong, and no power on earth or in hell can withstand Your Omnipotent Hand! Our brother trusts in You, O Master of Eternity, and speaks Your Name in Praise before the rulers of the earth; uphold him, my God, and abide with Him in Power, Comforting him in the midst of these trials, and making him Invincible in the Might of his God!"

"Vindicate him, Divine Lord of Justice, and break Your enemies to pieces, in Your Wrath! Stop the mouths of the Liars, and confuse the Schemes of men, setting Your servant up on High, to the dismay of and consternation of the damned. Cause their ungodly October Surprises to boomerang upon their heads, knocking Kerry from any gains he has acquired through his satan-bestowed cunning and deceit."

(Who speaks like this in the 21st century??)

8. Who speaks like this?
People who have attended way too many extreme right-wing church services performed by televangelist-like ministers. Members of cults speak like this too.

9. Do you think they'll get the message when * loses...
I never understood prayer for a contest. Why would God pick the Cougars over the Trojans?! I hate when athletes say "God was smiling on me" guess he hated the other guy's guts! Well, in the case of * I hope it's true.
