Media picking up Kerry's "jump to conclusions" response yet?
John Kerry has responded perfectly to Bush's statement yesterday implying that Kerry could not be Commander-In-Chief because he "jumps to conclusions":

"Yesterday, George Bush said, 'a political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your commander in chief when it comes to your security.'

I agree.

George Bush jumped to a conclusions about 9-11 and Saddam Hussein.

He jumped to conclusions about weapons of mass destruction and rushed to war.

He jumped to conclusions about how the Iraqi people would receive us.

He not only jumped to conclusions – he ignored the facts.

Here are the facts, the bottom line, about these weapons: they’re not where they’re supposed to be – they’re not secure.

Well, guess what, according to George Bush’s own words, he shouldn’t be our commander in chief. I could not agree more."

Of course, Kerry's response is obvious: George W. Bush jumped to conclusions in his initiation and conduct of the entire Iraq War!

Again, it is the perfect response. But is the media going to pick up on it? MSNBC has this to say in their current article (the first I can find mentioning Kerry's response):

"'A political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your commander in chief,' Bush told supporters Wednesday."

"Kerry retorted on Thursday, 'Mr. President, I agree with you.' He then recited a list of times he said Bush had been guilty of just that."

Kind of misses the obvious, huh? I mean, such a statement by Bush BEGS comparisons to the entire war! (which is what Kerry has done) But they reduce it to some non-specific, rote recitation of a list.

Kerry has to stay on this one, and keep saying it over and over, and LOUDLY, until the media picks up on it.

IMHO, the Kerry campaign should run a last minute ad showing the Bush quote, and then Kerry saying exactly what he said in the press release.

Such an ad would be a slam dunk. Game over.

1. PERFECT response!
I was wondering why he didn't do that yesterday, or maybe he did but the damned repuke-owned media ignored it.

3. Yep! "Kerry uses Bush's own words to call him unfit." Priceless!

Let's hope the media keeps picking up on it, and it becomes the "closer" I suggested it would be yesterday.

Bush really handed him this one on a silver platter!

4. Typical. CNN ran the story out of context
and began Kerry's quote with "George Bush jumped to conclusions about 9/11 and Saddam Hussein."

Assholes
