Not enough time.

Friday is traditionally the news-dump day when damaging stories are INTENTIONALLY released (a controlled release) so they can be buried in the weekend news (when news viewership is WAAAAY down).

Monday's news stories will ALL be about gearing up for Tuesday's vote, and the press will be making sure their fancy Election Night sets are working properly and everyone is ready for the big day.

The story, if there was one against Kerry, would have to have time to percolate some. I think there's just not enough time.

The Repukes have been playing defense too much to worry about offense.

3. I think you're right ...

Which is why I was very nervous Monday morning about what the week would bring, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.

Of course, if it is something catastrophic, this could change.

4. I'm not sure about that expect the worse
we got an election on Tuesday, and I amagine people will be following politics closer this weekend than usual. But as of now, Kerry is in the best shape he's ever been in.

5. It's Halloween weekend. People will be with their kids
carving pumpkins, going to parties, buying candy to give out, decorating the house, raking leaves, etc.

I don't discount how evil Karl Rove is, but it looks like the explosives stories got them waaay off-track and there is limited time to recover.

We'll see. The next few days will be nerve-wracking.

6. "October Surprise" recipe
Ingredients:
380 tons of HMX and RDX
One Bush, preferably near its expiration date
Several sour Neocons

Mix all ingredients in a reddish bowl. Cook at Fahrenheit 911 for 4-5 days, allowing contents to spin furiously, until the Bush melts, the Neocons collapse, and the bowl turns BLUE.

Serves 290 million.

I love it. Guess Rove finally ran out of tricks, just in time.

8. After today I think new surprises won't stick to EITHER side
It's now just chaos, catching up the surprises of the last weeks, and wrapping everything up with as many ads and rallies as both candidates can manage. This is the home stretch and the rules now change just a tad. Consolidation is what is all about and GOTV.

10. I don't know what size shoe
Reverend Al wears, but he put it squarely in Racicots ass tonight on Larry King too. Made him look like a morin.
