If you know disgruntled Repubs who just can't vote for Kerry...
I have taken to suggesting a write-in of John McCain. Pretty warmly received so far from the two people I know who: always vote, are Republican, just cannot vote for Kerry, and who do not want to vote for * but don't want to be "disloyal" to their party. I've exhausted my arguments for Kerry with them, and this seems like the next best solution. Thoughts?

It's worth a try!

3. Well, these particular folks are not people who would vote for Nader,
but that too is worth a try!
Thanks

7. I've got a fiscal conservative friend of mine...
...who I was able to persuade to vote for Nader. He just wouldn't vote for a Democrat, so I told him that Nader would be a protest vote against Bush and his irresponsible fiscal policies, and that the Republican Party would get the "message". So he swears he voted for Nader. Hell, he was wearing a Nader button. Also, as a conservative, he is anti-government, so I played on his fears of the intrusion into our personal lives that Bush has brought upon us. Hey, if he isn't going to vote for Kerry, at least its a vote away from Bush.

He's 45 and has voted Republican in every election he has ever voted in. Not this time. And I'm sure he's not the only one. Maybe Nader will do to the Repugs, what he did to us last time. When I asked him about how he felt voting for Nader, he said, "well, the Republicans are funding him anyway, and they wanted him to run, so maybe they need to learn to be careful what you ask for, you just may get it!".

4. I've talked a couple of extreme anti-Kerry pro-lifers...
into voting for Peroutka. I wish he'd gotten more attention in this race. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a nut job, but he appeals to the anybody but Kerry people who aren't thrilled with Bush either.

6. Badnarik, the Libertarian candidate
It's always worth a shot, and he's on the ballot in a lot of states this year.
