Latest Wisconsin Badger Poll Results
Bush 48%, Kerry 45%
but this is a big improvement from their last poll in late september which gave Bush a 52-38 percent lead.

Badger Poll sponsored by the Capital Times and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel of 545 likely voters w/ +/- of 4%, Poll director John Ferree said, "Considering the margin of error of just over four points, one may not have enough confidence that his advantage over Kerry is large enoughin the sample to provide strong evidence tha, had everyone in the eligible population been surveyed, he (Bush) would be ahead."

I work partime at UW Survey Center who conducts polls and most people decline to take the polls--it's a very small amount who actually participate.

3. What's the bad news here?
Dammit, people, only compare polls with the last poll by the same organization.

Kerry has trended way up in this poll over the last few weeks. That is good news.

4. No bad news
Kerry is ahead in Wisconsin. I don't care what this polls says. But I sitll get annoyed when I see outliers.

5. Cool..but this has been a consistent outlier.
And that it's moved up in our direction indicates to me that we are (at worst) tied and (at best) maybe slightly ahead.

We'll see. And my "dammit" wasn't aimed at you personally...just the generic sense of panic that people on this board react to polls with.

2. I have yet to see a poll result from this organization
that wasn't almost completely contrary to every other poll result.

At least this poll is slightly more rational.
