I was right... now ban me if you want

One of the MAIN reasons I support Kerry is because he's a rational person who is willing to take the truth even if it's not convenient or it contradicts his previous positions.

Many here don't seem to share that attitude. If someone says anything that doesn't favor Kerry, then that person is a freeper. Nevermind that person may be factually correct.

I speculated, on a rational basis, that BL would say that * is good and Kerry is bad. I don't have cable, but based on what I'm reading here that seems to be the exact situation.

Now shot the messenger. Ban me. I'm ready. I thought Kerry followers would share his respect for the TRUTH but man I was wrong.

2. I don't understand what you're saying.
Osama said that * is good and Kerry is bad? In other words, he'd prefer that * remain in office?

What are you concerned about getting banned for?

4. I predicted that

And several people called me a freeper and a troll, and asked that I be banned.
Ever heard shot the messenger?

6. Relax.
I notice that you're still here.

Lots of people get confronted when they're new here. I did too.

7. Don't sweat it
Everyone here has been accused of being a freeper at one time or another. I wouldn't let it bother you. Clearly, the moderators didn't think that or you wouldn't still be here.

3. Since when do Americans give a rats ass what OBL's opinion is?
Seriously.

Kerry will not lose a voter over this.

5. I HOPE you're correct

The fact that faux and the gop are spinning this already shows they think otherwise, but they may be underestimating people.

I do expect Kerry to come forcefully with the message: If I had been the president, BL wouldn't have making any videos (as suggested in other thread)

15. I agree, just the opposite. OBL saying that Bush was more
interested in a little girl reading a story to him than the towers burning, IMO is scathing for Bush. I know I'm biased, but I got out of the tape that he would rather have Kerry because Kerry will do what he can to get out of the Middle East and Bush will just further his agenda to attack other countries there. I know he didn't say any of this, it's just what my little brain got out of it.

8. Remember * in the debates
"Osama bin Laden doesn't get to decide."

Now watch * flip-flop on that statement in the next couple of days. He'll beat this like a drum, and still lose. How sweet it will be.

10. Well
He did not say that from the excerpts we have gotten so far. Rationally speaking, BL has to hate Bush no matter what he feels for Kerry. As silly as it sounds, he would be more likely to speak positively of kerry even though he dissed him as well. In a rational American, I dont see how this helps Bush? What can he say? He has bin laden on the run? that freedom is on the march ? That he is captured dead or alive? That containment is working?

17. I stand (partially) corrected

According to the first reports, OBL said * can't protect America. Now it seems he said * and Kerry. That does make a difference.

12. "I speculated, on a rational basis..."
How rational would that be?

UBL said NOTHING OF THE KIND. He SAID IT DIDN'T MATTER.

If you don't know what you are talking about, please refrain from speculating HERE. It upsets people. If you wonder why people call you a freeptard, it is because you seem to (mis)BEHAVE like one.

13. I predicted the Loma Prieta earthquake
I really did. I was sitting around watching the pre-game show of the World Series and I said, "Hey, I bet there's an earthquake". And there was.

Most people care about that about as much as I care about whatever the hell you're taking credit for.

like this...just hit the alert on anyone that calls you a troll and let admin and the mods deal with it.

20. I've been on DU a long time..when I have a question about anyone's intent
I search their prior posts. People who are freepers are easy enough to spot...there's usually a common thread in their posting patterns.

I deal with the content of people's posts...not the number of times they've posted.

Sorry you got treated poorly...but like you....everyone here is on edge about the election.

18. Yes (and no)

That's what the first reports said. As I mentioned, I have no cable so I followed the tape through these forums. Now we see he mentioned Kerry alongside *. The freeptards will still try to spin it as "UBL hates * then vote for *", but Kerry has a better ground to counterattack.

21. This is a wild card
There's no telling where the top will stop win the spinning is done. This cannot be good for Bush though. Why is this guy still alive and able to speak in an effort to influence the election?

Maybe Bush has him in custody and bin Laden said what he was told to say.

We cannot know what is going on.
