2. Statistical fluctuations don't need to make sense.
Remember that ABC/Washington Post predicted Bush would win by 3% in 2000.

10. Yes, and one interesting thing under Trends

Message:
was that bush had a 9% (vs 6%) chance to change mind (91% of bush supporters say they will definitely vote for him vs. 94% of Kerry supporters). The demographics are also rather different than previously. May have just hit a red patch.

4. Kerry's big Sunday just moved off the average
They said Sat and Sunday were his best days ever in this poll, so this uptick was to be expected.

It is a 4 day rolling average.

5. WaPO is a RW propaganda rag
They are saying Bunnypants is "ahead" by 3% because they know that all other internal polls have his ceiling at 47%, ergo, they just bumped it up to make him look better.
