11. Isn't that the same thing as
calling a democrat a republican? I think it is. That's a rule-breaker and, if I were mean, I'd 'alert'!

57. OH MY GOD! Is that why the post was deleted?
I just sent the moderator a message, asking why my post was singled out. I've never gotten a "moderator message" before.

For the life of me, I couldn't understand why.

Even after you just explained it....for the life of me, I still don't understand why.

I've been with DU since Week One, an on-and-off again poster. I've never seen anything the likes of deleting the post I just made.

And reading the rules is like reading a software licensing agreement.

Humpf. I'm going to have to think about this. I'm not happy about it at all.

10. I think that..
Gephardt and Kerry would have a harder time energizing potential supporters than those that I listed above them. But, I'd like to think that we could work hard and get them elected. Gephardt's chances are better than Kerry's, IMO.

I really don't think that Lieberman or Sharpton could win..but I don't think they have a shot at the nomination either.

I think that while Kucinich is considered a long shot by alot of people that if he were to win the nomination, he has the potential to get supporters fired up and win over supporters through his idealism and stark contrast to Bush*.

Dean's my first choice only because I think he will win the nomination. In a better world, Kucinich or Sharpton would be first.
I have serious doubts about Clark but will vote for him if he gets it.

The pro-war candidates won't get my vote.

Clark could move back into 2nd if he just came out and said Reagan's national security policies weren't in our best interest. If Clark thinks arming all these third world countries was a good idea, I don't want him as President.

56. I don't particularly like him
but no, I don't think he's total scum. I give him credit for sticking to his guns on his views and that earns points and respect from me. I'd rather vote for him than Clark, Kerry or Gephardt. Sharpton would be higher up if he didn't take to race baiting and grand standing. Lieberman would never make it to my top choice and he is higher on the list more because of the behavior of the others than what he's doing. But no, I don't hate him.

So sayeth me.

The IWR was an important vote and issue, but it is not a deal breaker or maker for me. Reasons behind that vote meant more to me.

I like liberal lawmakers and enforcers, but I also like someone who's going to win. Luckily John Kerry is in this race.

50. Here's mine:
1) Dean (My first choice since the Gore endorsement)

2) Clark (I like the General's progressive positions; I could care less that he voted for Ronnie or Nixon 20 years ago.)

3) Edwards (I've been *really* impressed with him the past few weeks. I love politicians that run positive campaigns.)

4) Gephardt (My first choice a few months ago; Loses points because of his recent negative attacks.)

5) Kerry (Still a viable option, although I don't like his attacks either)

6) Kucinich (I like some of his ideas, but he's too liberal for me. Also, I think he'd be too easily written off as a "Left-wing wacko" for the GE.)

7) Sharpton (Too one-dimensional, too easily dismissed)

8) Diamond Joe (Back stabbing conservative. Lieberman needs to realize that no one likes him.)

And though I know this topic has been done before, I for one am quite glad it's being done again. After the new GD rules, in good faith, I cleared out my ignore list. Apparantly not all those who are unwilling to do anything to beat bush have been cleared from GD. Those posters who would rather vote for Bush than ANY one of our fine candidates were added back to my ignore list, as I have little interest in their opinions regarding the democratic party.

I am hoping that some candidates on the fringe, if they bow out, put their voters towards a winning candidate, and then themselves join that administration.

Clark and Kerry for me are a dead heat for #2.

Dean is a hold my nose candidate. He will pursue the drugs war and destroy inner cities just like a republican... what point is there in supporting that except to oust the BFEE.

Dean, Clark, Sharpton, Lieberman

Dean was a conservative in VT and is now playing the "rebel" candidate.

Clark is not very bright in the political game. All of his interviews consist of nothing but trite platitudes with no concrete agenda other than Clinton-redux.

Sharpton is disgraceful

Lieberman is a man I like as a person but whose agenda is crap to me.
