1. no, black voters came out in great numbers, more than ever

they pushed Kerry to victory in many key states. we didn't lose anyone.

it's just that the religious right came out in greater numbers than ever because of the anti gay propositions in states. much of bush's popular vote increase is from solid red states where they came out to vote on the gay marriage amendments.
