2. The NAACP is A Church?
There's a serious problems the Democratic party has in the black community...while we're tearing open scabs, this one is another reason we lost on Tuesday. Most blacks detest Repugnicans, but they don't see Democrats doing much more for them either. There really wasn't a prominent black involved in the Kerry campaign and that really hurt what could have been bigger turnouts than what they were.

I've always been concerned that I don't see (or at least they openly identify) that many Black folks here at DU. I know a couple, and have friends who lurk, but their perspective was definitely missing in this campaign and their voice...a big one if this party is to just hang on to what we currently have...is needed now.

3. Ahem, we can't go after churches now because
THEY ARE IN POWER!! All their work to win this election gives them free pass to tell the goverment WHAT THEY WANT.

Unlessssssssss, some moderate republicans within the neo-con movement jump ship or come over to our side for balance and sanity.
