DU research help needed for Warren County, Ohio, something ain't right
http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/11/05/loc_warrenvote05.html

Warren's vote tally walled off
Alone in Ohio, officials cited homeland security

And despite being told that there would be an area with telephones set up for the media, those who tried to get into the building on Justice Drive were stopped by a county employee who stood guard outside. After journalists challenged the restriction, reporters were allowed into the building's lobby - two floors below the elections office.

Warren gave * 66,000 votes.

Warren is home to the white flight suburbanites who left Cincinnati for all white public schools and McMansions. There are probably more than a few Bush "rangers" in this county.

The reporter at the Cincinnati Enquirer whose beat this would be is Dan Horn, dhorn@enquirer.com

He may be one of us, he did stories on the felon voting issue and answered an email I sent him praising that coverage.

Thousand of votes here, thousand of votes there, that could add up, you know? "Supersizing Bush's lead"

6. Exactly the only reason Kerry conceded is the difference between
provisionals and the votes he needed was steep.

4. The question is, is the Cincinnati Enquirer doing it's job?
"The media should have been permitted into the area where there was counting," Enquirer attorney Jack Greiner said. "This is a process that should be done in complete transparency and it wasn't."

Time to contact the newsroom.

5. Call Ron Liebau
Ron Liebau
(M-F, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.) Local News rliebau@enquirer.com 513-768-8396

He seems to always be really involved in election coverage and he is a local new editor.

Goverment is supposed to be open and newspapers sue for access.

Please call, I can't ;)

8. I left a message on Ron Liebau's voice mail.
Don't know if it'll do any good.

As far as the Cincinnati Enquirer doing its job, forget it. Right wing rag.
