Bush/GOP: Declare there is treason in dissent.
Edited on Mon Nov-15-04 07:23 PM by indianablue
Today the Bush administration declared dissent of any kind would be considered treasonous. The White House justified this by saying we are in a state of War and the President must use every tool available to keep this country secure.

One member of the press core asked the White House spokesman how can Bush use war as the reason to stifle dissent when War has not actually been declared and has not been declared since World War Two.

The reporter was then promptly escorted out of the room along with two other reporters who nodded in agreement. Later a third member of the press was escorted out as when a review of the tapes reveled he shifted his eyes during the confrontation.

12. What, and spoil the torture?
no matter which direction, it's still an horrific experience (emphasis on the first syllable).

5. Hi! Where in Indiana?
I grew up 4 miles from Warren, which is at about exit 72 off I-69, so south of Ft. Wayne.

I live in Seattle now, but I am interested in hearing about what's happening back there. My family is still in and around Huntington and Wells counties...

8. ahhhh yes, swinging the stick and don't know what the hell is a carrot
couple of thoughts:

-- with the "rubber stamp" hold on Congress, the White House and the Supreme court, plus the media lapdogs looking for belly rubs -- bush* has no one left to blame although he'll still try to blame everyone else for his failures.

-- On CNN news last night -- they showed the newly ordained repug freshmen. The reporter was asked if the Dem's would work with the repugs in a bi-partisan manner. basically the answer was "...Republicans won, get use to it..."

This is the same swagger, gloating and arrogance of a "MY-partisan" attitude that was exhibited by Newt Gingrich -- didn't go over well then and given the lap-dog mentality it will probably be spun as Dems being uncooperative.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- If the DEMS don't stand up for themselves and fight back, then why should I feel they will stand up and fight for me?

10. This piece may be a humorous piece right now, born out of yours or
someone else's imagination...sadly, it may just all become painfully truthful in the not too distant future. Bush is capable of just what this piece says and more.

11. If Indianablue hadn't added the disclaimer
I would have thought that it was true. Nothing this creature does surprises me.
