John Edwards post caucus speech was amazing
if/when John edwards does win the election in the end, it will be exactly because of what you saw in that speech. he was amazing. and his thanking gep was very sweet.

19. Edwards was overjoyed, it's easier to speak under those circumstances
but Dean has to be frustrated and tired; he has worked hard for all the Democrats and deserves respect, and the media were relentless. He may have been so upset and feeling bad for all of his campaign workers that he did not know what else to do.

The media will now turn on the Kerry and Edwards and possibly Clark campaigns, so we have to be ready for them.

4. Excellent, excellent speech

If the Democrats will just stick with that message (and not abandon it if elected), the Republicans are doomed.

8. yes, JE supporters have heard it before, but the addition of the thanking
of Gephardt was very appropriate and touching.

JE is good at reminding us of who we need to be.

9. I have been an honest undecided, but man he is good.
Also, he is a good guy in his real life. I'm taking a good look at him now.

That said, I felt very bad for the Dean people. I have felt what they are going through many times. They are heartbroken, and it does them no good to know that without Dean the debate would not be about Democratic policy, but whatever the Republicans decided it should be.

I wanted more for Dean just because he had awakened the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party, I feel bad.

15. I agree
I was watching Edwards make a great speech, & he got bumped for Dean.

Edwards won, they should have finished showing it.

12. I thought so too
and it makes me glad. Edwards is one of the two candidates who I think can win, so if he is the nominee, I'll be almost as happy as I would be if my guy won.

20. If you're not an Edwards supporter, you should be....
Anyone who has watched politics closely in this country the past 30 years has to know that Edwards is the best candidate that can beat Bush. And more importantly, he's the only Democrat who deserves to...

He's the only one who, instead of talking about what is wrong with the other candidates, talked about what was RIGHT with his campaign.

He's the only one who, instead of focusing just on what Bush has done wrong, is talking about what he will do RIGHT.

He is the best and brightest this party has to offer.

John Kerry's a beady-eyed, washington-insider, DLC-endorsed, dry personality who thinks that saying "fuck" in a magazine and wearing a leather jacket on Leno shows that he's "cool"..... he would be toast against Bush.

Wesley Clark would make the perfect VP for Edwards.

Howard Dean would make a great Secretary of the Treasury.

But Edwards is the only one with a great chance to win against chimp-boy.

17. Something like this
I want to thank someone for whom I have the utmost personal respect...someone who fought every single day of his life for working people in this country...Dick Gephardt

18. It was great!
I keep flipping around the cable channels and happened to be on CNN. The Gephardt tribute was truly inspiring. Unfortunately, they went to a split screen with Dean's campaign and cut Edwards short so we could see Dean yelling and seeming out of control. I feel really bad for Dean because up until the last week, no one but Dean has really captured my outrage and passion for changing the * regime.

But damn. Edwards is so classy. Maybe that's the true Southerner in me. Truth be told, aside from Carter I tend to have knee jerk reactions to most Southern polititcans. I wish him well in NH.

Plus, I would love to see Edwards debate Bush. There would be no harumphs and sighs. He would tear him apart on the issues. Talk about restoring dignity back to the WH. Now THAT's "bedtime for bonzo."

21. I am so happy Edwards did well tonight
I have always liked him, ever since I watched his announcement speech. He confirmed my opinion of him tonight, and Dean confirmed my opinion of him. Dean was embarrassing and I have always had real doubts, and will continue to.
