From Atrios; E&P gets feedback on the soldier's question to Rumsfeld. Support the troops!

Joe M. Richadson: "The duped soldier should be put at the very front of the action, no armor. The cooperating sergeant's career should be over and maybe become MIA. Pitts and all his cronies should be executed as traitors. We are fighting a war, the debate is over, you’re either for us or against us, there is no middle ground. I say start executing the leftists in our country, soon."

The "duped" soldier IS at the front no armor, asshole. That was the fucking point, asshole.

It's fine to line up 59 million Americans and mass-grave them...but we had to take out Saddam Hussein (and 100,000 innocent civilians) for 14,000 Iraqis missing in the past decade and 5000 remains in Iraq's mass graves.

Good grief, rightwingnuts are sick MFers.

2. I'd politely suggest
that he join the service and go to Iraq himself.

3. WTF
What goes through these RWnuts heads? Their answer to every problem is to kill people. How do you reason with folks like that? Do we really think we can affect change in this country without violence? The RW is not gonna allow that to happen. They seem to want another civil war or a Balkanization of the US. People like Mr. Richardson depress the hell out of me.

4. Reminds me of the people who when no WMD were found then started to feign

worry for the Iraqui people. Oh how I remember first that he had WMD, then they changed to "he was a brutal dictator who killed his own people" and how we did the moral thing by getting rid of him. THEN when they started fighting us these same people were suddenly advocating nuking and gassing them just like Saddam did when they rose up against him. What do these people think? That Saddam just killed them for fun? They were rebelling just like they are now. That and the statements by that fellow about sending them to the front just show how partisan and how little compassion the far right wing really has. They're like fucking Nazis. Really makes me worry about the future of our democracy.
