I predict that 9 of the following 20 Senators will be standing with Boxer
I predict atleast 10 of the 20 Dem Senators will have some amazing speeches and discussions planned and their colleagues will be giving them lots of time to finish getting said what must be said....

Who are these 20? I predict in addition to Boxer:

1) Sen Robert Byrd
2) Sen. Barack Obama
3) Sen Patty Murray
4) Sen. Harry Reid
5) Sen. Maria Cantwell
6) Sen. Patrick Leahy
7) Sen. Ted Kennedy
8) Sen. Ron Wyden
9) Sen. Hilary Clinton
10) Sen. Jon Corzine
11) Sen. Joe Biden
12) Sen. Bill Nelson
13) Sen Evan Bayh
14) Sen. Mary Landrieu
15) Sen. Frank Lautenberg
16) Sen. Mark Dayton
17) Sen. Jeff Bingaman
18) Sen. Chuck Schumer
19) Sen. Rus Feingold

12. How is Schumer doing on the Gonzales front?
:eyes:

I'll cut him some slack if he shows guts in the conformation hearing. It might be difficult for him to take issue with the torture memos when he's made noise in favor of legitimizing some forms of torture.

15. Was watching earlier-he was asking tough questions & seemed very annoyed
with Gonzales...asked him to get back in 2 hours with an answer on something he's asked for twice when Gonzales said "he hadn't thought of it"...

3. not Biden's style, imo
just a guess, but I'd consider Biden to be among the most disturbed dem Senator by this action, it goes against his clubby attitude toward government.

8. Byrd would be one of my guesses
He hasn't been hesitant to call people out, has seniority, and has tremendous respect for the Constitution (read somewhere that he carries a pocket-sized version with him).

17. Big surprise.
;)

You'd think a radical like Nelson would have jumped at the chance to piss off all those Jesuslanders in Florida who leap through hoops for James Dobson.

25. um, only one objection was raised on each side
in the joint session, not even Conyers objected. They had one from each side to go into the debate.

In the vote, I'll bet not even Boxer votes against certification.
