Tim Roemer, DNC Chair Candidate
I caught Tim Roemer tooting his horn for DNC chair this morning on CNN. I must admit, I know very little about him, but listening to him speak for 5 minutes made me want to throw something. Partly because of his speaking style (awful) and his message.

His main two points: 1. The Democrats need to be positive. 2. The Democrats need to reach out more to the American people.

As someone not very familiar with Mr. Roemer and imagining myself as a typical non-political American, he said nothing to keep my attention and I found him quite boring. He offered no ideas on how to implement his points. Although he may be a good man, all I heard was more of the same, blah blah blah, pander pander pander. Nothing new.

I believe the DNC chair must be able to express the basic principles of the Democratic Party with enthusiasm and appeal along with the willingness to fight for them, even if it means ruffling some feathers. I don't think Tim Roemer is the man for the job based on what I saw this morning.

1. Roemer is the status quo candidate
Yes let's be positive about the war, the economy, education, the environment, and all the other Bush debacles. I say let's offer a real opposition to Bushism. You probably know who I support.

2. I think I do know
and you can add my name to Dr. Dean's list of supporters. Status quo must go.
