15. Is it even possible that Rice may not be approved with this delay?
Or is it possibly because of the inaguration this week?

Is the delay actually something that can speak to a serious discussion on Rice's credibility and/or qualifications? Can this actually go anywhere? Or is it the media and the political head planners simply blowing smoke up our ass?

27. Sounds like Boxer gets to tell all of America
her problem (and millions of others) with Rice's lack of original ideas, she has never answered questions, at least truthfully, etc. She has stated in these hearing clearly what is wrong with Rice. Maybe, hopefully, millions of closed minded people will listen and wonder. One can only hope. Otherwise, we are going to be steamrolled by this administration for lack of Dems standing ground as Boxer has, Gawd she is good. Rice is totally a Bush yes man.

31. Let's face it. The television cameras revealed this woman to be a liar.
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 04:56 PM by David Zephyr
Television was not kind to Dr. Condi Rice and her hot temper.

I have a hunch that there's a lot of uncomfortable Republicans right now with this wild card of a nutbag possibly becoming Secretary of State and that they are hearing about it from their folks back home.

Bush may like her, but the American people don't.

And add to that this new LA Times poll showing that support for Bush's war (that's what we all really need to begin calling it every chance we can) is down to an unsupportable 39%.

I watched her appearance on C-SPAN trying to be as objective as possible as to her televised composure. She looked like an uptight, squirming, arrogant liar...which is what she is. It's just that she shouldn't have looked like it.

Senator Boxer cleverly got under Rice's skin and brought the beast in her out for everyone to see.

This is not a stable woman.

46. Yup. Condi sounded like Dan Quayle with a bigger vocabulary. Bad show.
And she is supposed to be the Chief Apologist for the Empire??

She keeps the bad voodoo of torture AND 9/11 upfront.

Her skin color doesn't make her the next Colin Powell (human credential for Nazis) AND she has worse baggage than frikkin' Bernie Kerik.

I'd think the neo-con propaganda campaign wouldn't want to stir up their own stink with a target like Kinda-sleezy Rice.

Boxer's and Kerry's fits of courage might be signs of the liberal insurgency here at home making Condi the Achmed Chalabi of the White House, a flak-catcher to dump in a pinch.

32. Did anyone else notice how subdued the Reps on the committee
at Condi's hearing were? They just sat back and were collegial. I kept thinking Coleman would suddenly jump up and start frothing at the mouth. Instead, there seemed to be a great deal of assent and no dissent from them when the Dems were whaling away on Condi. It has occurred to me that if the Boxer Rebellion is allowed to be successful by the Reps., then maybe those among them who don't support *'s foreign policy gain and it allows them to turn their full attention to the domestic agenda which they so much want to focus on.
