6. Looks like Dick Loogie's got this one hands down.
Yeah, funny nickname, but I probably respect this guy more than I do Evan Bayh from the same state. At least Lugar admits he's a Republican, and is not afraid to call out Bush and the PNAC'ers when neccessary.

7. what about Chuck Hegel?
I got to met him in DC this summer, at a International Relations program, and he made it clear to us that he would never be a puppet to the party. My sense of his Foreign Policy ideas were some where a little left of the middle and not too far from Kerry's ideas.... Anyways I would have included his name on the list.
