Senator Dayton of Minnesota said he will NOT vote for Rice or Gonzales
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 06:18 PM by Quixote1818
Just heard him on Ed Schultz show. E-mail him and tell him thanks:

I get the impression that Kerry and Boxer paved the way for more Senators to feel comfortable doing the right thing. Boxer and Kerry should get credit for being strong.

4. Good that pick your fight stuff is for losers we have to resist 24/7
The FASCISTS take every opportunity to further their agenda to bankrupt US. We have to oppose their illegal immoral illegitimate occupation at every turn.

6. How many votes does she need to be confirmed?
Even if all the Dems stand up, she will still be confirmed, right?

I applaud their courage and appreciate the backbone but we can't stop the confirmation can we?

8. She will be confirmed but the Dems can send a message.
The more no votes the stronger the message will be.

10. Dems can send a strong and correct msg.
Any Dem that votes yes to either of both doesn't deserve to be in Congress.

12. Great news! And be sure to sign Boxer's petition to help block Rice
Read Sen. Boxer's letter and get the link to the online petition form to support her opposition to confirming Condoleeza Rice as Sec of State at this DU thread:

And please pass the word on!

I wish he would have stood with Boxer on Jan.6, but I'll take these nay votes. They're better than nothing.

14. I admire his resolve
But this will be more ammo for the GOP to use against him - they have specifically targeted his seat as one they're going after in the next election.

I would urge all of you to sign off a few dollars to his campaign fund - keep him in the Senate.

15. Good for Mark Dayton.
Good for his constituents in Minnesota.

The ghost of Paul Wellstone whispers in the ears of a good man.

Now you Minnesotans do good by Dayton and keep him in office.
