3. So Shrub is looting SS to pay for tax cuts to the rich and a war and...

and the younger 'workers' (soon to be outta work due to outsourcing) will end up footing the bills. Gotta love a scam like that dontcha ?

Also, I'm seeing Repukes lying on O'Lielly etc that 'raising the $90k cap is a bad thing'...when in fact raising the cap to $120k will save the system ! David Cay Johnston, New York Times reporter and author of "Perfectly Legal: The Covert Campaign to Rig Our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich - and Cheat Everybody Else" has a Chapter 8 in the book devoted to how the poor and middle classes subsidize Social Security for the wealthiest !

This is a MUST READ BOOK !

7. Bush's joke
The joke is that 400 million a day in social security surplus flows in every day, where it is immediately siphoned off into the general fund, this has been this way, since Pappy Bush started it during his administration. It's not the system that's failing, it's that the government is spending the money as fast as it come in, the problem is that the present white house confuses mine with thine, to them it's all mine. (I saw this on another DU thread)
