Ha! I cant believe it. There is a "Conservative Punk" site buwahahaha
I was looking up the lyrics to Green Day's American Idiot and found this doosy of the site http://www.conservativepunk.com/index.asp. Its more funny than freeper land. Are they just to dumb to get the irony. I was thinking of pointing out to them what connotations come with the word "punk" when referencing music. Then I realized that they probably meant PUnch druNK and they could only manage one syllable. That being PUNK. Its amazing their tiny brains can summon enough energy to move their fingers to type.

5. Is that letter serious?
Why would someone want to be in war away from their families and watch his friend die like that? :grr:

11. "The Truth Has Nothing To Fear Of Lies"
Indeed.
Get it?
"The Truth.......Has Nothing.......To Fear.......Of Lies"
Double double plus good.

Conservativepunk.com's motto can be read different ways. How many entendres are there? The site should be called Conservativemindfuck.com. I think what you have stumbled upon is a slick sort of wrong wing cynical subterfuge.

The letter reads like someone with too much schoolin trying to imitate a dumbed down voice. How's this?:

" I was in Iraq. I watched a friend of mine suffer for nearly 12 hours before he died, but we were glad to be there. I never imagined that in this day and age an entire nation could be suppressed and tortured like that for so long. When we went into Nasyriah we found hundreds of dead bodies of civilians. I have pictures of a lot of it. "

This smells. How convenient that the underlying implication here is that all those civilians were layin around on the street and in their beds when our boys got there. He's got pitchers! So anything you hear about civilian casualties at American hands must be a lie!

The band names (and the Tour Dates section is totally blank) sound like Christian rock versions of "punk" names. Sort of like radical Jars of Clay, "Flipperflopper"? Come on.

Looks like the Punkvoter.com efforts were a little too successful. This site pops up to "educate" kids that not all punks are liberals. Puhlease.

Who's really behind this?

4. If they are conservative
they obviously don't know what it means to be punk. I guess to them Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte are their idols. :eyes:

3. The term itself is an oxymoron
We used to call them what they really are, racist skinheads. Then we kicked their asses. But that was a long time ago.

8. they are infact retarded
ya cant really be against the system but for it at the same time ;)

id imagine a true 'punk' , and the term gets over used and placed on people who dont deserve it, believes in anarchism.
i could be wrong tho..haha.
tho atleast on a few the band sites i saw them running away from the neo-conservative label and call themselves true conservatives (some are anti-iraq war apparently).

10. We have stepped through the looking glass
When people are trying to make supporting Newt Gingrich, church and multi-national corporations "subversive" or "punk," something has gone DRASTICALLY wrong, somewhere.

Drastically.

That said, the site is a hoot. I don't believe much in the order of classical philosophy, but liberal will always be SOOOOOOO much cooler than conservative. It will also be more sophisticated, smarter and more aesthetically interesting. That's why the panty-bunchers in core 'murica get so bent out of shape when they think the sushi eaters are looking down on them. They know they are not cool. Conservative Punk is a bad, desperate attempt to pretend this is not the case.

23. OMG
How hilarious. Their whole cd is anti-government and what has happened the past four years. Green Day even refused to play on their last tour in red states. So misinformed. :eyes: The whole song is about not listening to the media and becoming an "American idiot" but thinking for themselves.

14. Poor Michale Graves...
Failed former singer of the fake "Misfits" helping Jerry Only cash in on the classic songs Glenn Danzig wrote 20 years ago (roughly the same situation as CCR, for those of you too old to know punk rock)

The NewShits imploded and poor Michale needed another way to cash in, so just like Dennis Miller and Ron Silver, he sold his soul to the neocon shitbags.

The Daily Show did a piece on this dumbass a few months ago.

The only other "conservative punks" I'm aware of are nazi skinheads. Yeah, let's hope the GOP promotes that one......

16. Here's who runs this site
I did a WHOIS lookup, then a web search on the registrant name. The punk behind conservativepunk.com is Nick Rizzuto and he's from NYC. He's talked about in a transcript for Youth Radio: (topic) Conservative Punks for Bush

NICK (on tape)
I got a framed portrait of the President right there.

ENRIQUE
And then there’s 23 year old Nick Rizzuto, on the opposite end of the punk spectrum. For his job as a sales assistant in New York city, he goes to work covering up his ten tattoos with a button-down shirt. And he still lives with his parents. But what really sets Nick apart are his political views. A punk for Sir Dubya himself - and proud of the messages that came with the picture of President Bush.

NICK (on tape)
“To Mr. Nicholas Rizzuto, Thank you for your loyal commitment. I’m looking forward to working with you for a great Republican victory in New York this year.”

ENRIQUE
A few years ago, Nick founded a website called “conservativepunk.com” as a safe haven for like-minded punks. The site’s filled with pro-Bush op-eds, message boards ranting about Michael Moore, and a cartoon page poking fun at John Kerry and Bill Clinton. Nick says when the site first launched, he got dozens of e-mails each from both his punk brethren and their arch-nemeses - like the guy who recently wrote him saying you can’t be both a punk and conservative.

NICK (on tape)
Of course that idea is outrageous in some respects and you might feel bullied. It comes back to the idea of a conservative punk being equivalent to a Black Klansman. This is the mentality here.

Oooo! And the freepers discovered the site too.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1073132/posts

Their posts of joy at punk 'finding its conservative roots' are so full of irony it's like listening to BushCo. "Punk was started by the working class as way to contrast themselves against the upper class fraudulent rich kid hip culture." Oh yeah, Bush** represents the working class!

What a bunch of deluded morans.

22. Wasn't Nick Rizzuto the loser who sang for the reunited Misfits?
I'd heard that the new singer was related to this website somehow.

If so, it explains a lot why the new Misfits suck so much ass.

18. Being as curious as I am...
I was forced to check out their message board. It's exactly what you might expect.

Tough-talking conservatives talking about how much they hate liberals, then running like a scalded dog away from the statement when called on it. They've got the same talking points (see use of islamo-fascist, a favorite of right-wing nutjobs, among others), the same nonsensical babbling that one might find on FR, the same blowhard Big-Brother-is-always-right mentality regarding the far-right-wing Republicans.

Oh, and I guess their whole thing is that they like the style of music, but not anybody that's actually good at the style of music.

25. I'd guess they'd
crap their pants if they saw a photo of Green Day with John Kerry. Not long ago on their website when they did Letterman's show it was the same night as Kerry and there was a photo of them with Kerry. Here's an article about it and in it they say how "American Idiot" is an anti-Bush anthem cd.

Oh, that was classic.

Damn women, always lying about being raped. When will they learn that if they'd just stay chained to the stove, they wouldn't give someone an excuse to rape them?

of Hillary Duff wearing a t-shirt with the word "Punk Rock" on it. Even though Vivian from "The Young Ones" is just a character, I'd love to see him beat her and the so-called punk conservatives over the head with his rubber cricket bat!
