Brian Lamb of c-span lied this morning

he had Ann Coulter on for 1 hr. and promised that afterward would be a man to counter Coulter for 1 hr.

well, the man was there alright but he in no way countered Coulter. this dude had just got the job of writing two articles a wk. for a D.C. paper and he seemed so scared to say anything. he sat on the fence with a leg on either side, with the fence up his bum.

and was very good at saying: ah, ah, hunh, hunh, ah ah - through the whole hr.

a caller asked Lamb why he would stain c-span by having Coulter on and he said she sold a lot of books.

may lightning strike.

(didn't check the dude's name - too disgusted to care.)

1. The "dude's" name is Eugene Robinson.
I liked him. He said he was a Yellow Dog. He was completely fair and open. BUT Brian Lamb was incorrect in stating that Robinson was a counter to Coulter. She is hostile to the left. He was open minded to the right. She is a bitch. He is a nice guy.
There is no counter to Coulter on our side...thank goodness.

4. Yeah. Never mind the fact he founded CSPAN...
I don't necessarily agree with his POV, but what's your alternative? Get rid of CSPAN altogether?

I personally find WJ to be a joke anyway. The calls are either highly informed (on both sides of the political spectrum) or borderline insane (from both sides of the spectrum) with no middle ground.

7. Yes. As biased as they come.
I always had liked Brian Lamb, really respected what he did with Washington Journal, watched it daily. But the wicked things the Bush administration has done have come thick and fast with barely a nod from him, despite his pretensions.

The Dem callers are cut off or disrespected, the Rep callers allowed to go on and on, even with scripted words. And Brian just sits there and lets outrage after outrage go by him, keeping his own self image intact by literally turning his head!

Shameful!

3. Gee! Am I glad I missed it!!! I watch WJ every AM, but didn't wake
up early enough this AM. I would have had to turn it off anyway. Ann is more than I can stand to watch or hear.

I wouldn't call Brian a lier though. Ann did sell a lot of books, and as to the opp. he had on...those who could have done a good job already have commitments on Fri AM. I suspect the producers try to get reps on both sides, and unless they're working in DC already, are probably hard to get. Ann hasn't appeared on anything lately...that I know of, and is hungry for any coverage she can get.

5. The worst part was
When Brian Lamb played along with Coulter, cutting off callers and laughing at "Liberals". It was so unprofessional!

6. I had the exact same impression
An apologist. I stopped listening when he had a few disses about outspoken Dems--including Dean.

8. Sometimes I wake up around 6AM
(CA time) and turn on c-span. This morning when I saw Coulter's ugly face I was sure I was experiencing a particularly horrible nightmare. WJ has sunk to new depths, putting on a professional hatemonger.

The reporter who followed called himself a Dem but was making a little too nice toward the BFEE, and he did say "uh..ah...uh" before every sentence. Annoying as hell.

As for Lamb, he's a kool-aid drinking chimp whore and all around disgrace.
