4. Hopefully we can set an example with him.
I care if he resigns. It'll teach Bush propagandists not to lie, or face resignation.

9. Wgy do you think Eason Jordan can be forced to resign, but not Hume?
What Hume did was far worse.

11. The problem is systemic, notBrit Hume.
I think it's awful that Eason Jordan was forced to resign. And I think it's awful what Brit Hume said. But to call for his resignation? First of all, if he did resign, they'll just get another wingnut. The problem is not Brit Hume, the problem is FAUX, media conglomeration in general, and the Reich-wing propaganda machine. Second, I don't see why everyone is so outraged about this particular incident. Flip through the channels, or your AM dial, and you'll see or hear a hundred more lies just like that one. If we get our panties in a wad about what Brit Hume said, we're tacitly saying that what he said was _exceptional_. It's not. It happens all the time. Third, I never watch FAUX. I wasn't hurt in any way by what he said -- other than being implicitly hurt by the fact that propaganda is what sustains these fascists in office, but again, that's a systemic issue, not one person and one statement. But I'm not a consumer of FAUX so I don't really care what he says. If he broke no law, then it's up to FAUX to fire him or not.

12. So why not create a situation that makes it easire for Fox to fire him?
Signing a petition and sending an e-mail out takes next to zero time, and it creates a situation where Fox is forced to make a decision. It puts them on the defensive, and makes them think twice before blatantly lying again.

13. Where have you been living?

It makes it HARDER to fire him if it will look like they're giving in to the LIEbruls.

"Think twice before blatantly lying again"?!?! dude, have you ever watched FAUX for even a minute???

And also, as I said, I don't care if they fire him. It won't make anything better.

2. No, he should just change the name of his program
...to "ANOTHER WHORE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE." I believe in freedom of the media to air what they please, but I also believe in truth in advertising!!!!!

7. There should be an investigation, hearings, and termination of underlings
along with scandal, shame and the "voluntary" resignation of Hume.
