Sorry--I hadn't read the updated rules....so i got reprimanded. I thought it was a cute name, I didn't know.

I am trying to write in a public forum about the tax cuts and the states raising property taxes. Can you rember exactly what Dean said about this? I remember I think he said it in a speech.

2. little more specific please
He says something along those lines all the time....

heres just one example

I have spoken with families who can't understand why, when the president passed a 3 trillion dollar tax cut, their property taxes are higher than ever and their kids go to school in crowded classrooms with fewer school days.

5. Oh I am just trying to tie in the deficit with Bush's
tax cuts and the shift of the burden to the states. I'm trying to explain to Republicans that this administration isn't so "conservative" with all of the spending they've done.

4. Don't counties set property taxes?
I've always been under the inpression that local, i.e. counties/parishes/cities set property taxes. Could be wrong.

7. Yes, county taxes are going up as well.
Since they are cutting at the federal level and not sending aid on down to the states, then the states are cutting at the state level. That leaves counties without a lot of the necessities, yet they still have people to care for who were dropped from Medicaid.

Our high schools have even started putting in letters to the editors for the public to help them raise money to keep their bands going.

It is just a pretend tax cut, shifting it all down to the lower levels. In other words it is a lie.

9. Worst of both worlds
I relocated to Florida last year, and Shrubs brother (We've gotta come up with a name for him) is trying to bankrupt the state too. We've got a sales tax increase on the ballot,at the county level, because every branch of gov't is broke after Jebs tax cuts. He won't even spend the federal block grants he got.

But basically, I said what party_line said.... www.bushtax.com . also, I said, I don't mind being called a Deanie, Deaniac, etc! It's all in the spirit of the message... though I guess the rules aren't so flexible.
