Bush, working hard: "a new confrontational tone to U.S.-Russian relations"
BRATISLAVA (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) will urge Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) to "renew his commitment to democracy," U.S. officials said, in a Thursday meeting that could bring a new confrontational tone to U.S.-Russian relations.

The two leaders, who call each other by their first names, are to meet for at least 90 minutes late in the afternoon to close Bush's tour of Belgium, Germany and Slovakia on a dramatic note. A joint news conference will follow.

Bush begins his day by meeting leaders of Slovakia and will speak from a town square to praise the 12-year-old country, once part of Czechoslovakia, as an example of democracy and the peace it can bring. He is the first U.S. president to visit.

The Bush-Putin meeting comes amid growing concern among some of Bush's top advisers about moves by the Russian president seen as backsliding on democracy.

1. When I look at that pic all I see is evil
oozing out of his every pore.

Why the hell has Russia now being in the gun sights of this stupid , ignorant and insane man?

Is he trying to drum up a new enemy--revitilize the McCarthy era of "commie" fear? What the hell is is he trying to do? I just cannot figure it out. Suddenly "Vlad" is the bad guy now who cannot run his own country accorduing to the standards of a war mongering criminal. It has to be some sort of propaganda for there is no way in hell this evil, AWOL coward of a prick has any right to tell another soverign country how to run itself.
