Will The MSM Cover The Delay Probe Or Pursue It At All?
If not this will add more to the type of media/newspapers we have in this country. More to the idea of a Free Press going away. What we have now are just nothing more than Corporate Mouthpieces.

1) No investigation of anything; just a tell me what you want me to print.

2) Let Karl Rove write the script.

3) Get an ok from Scott McCellan or Gannon before going to press.

1. I don't think the MSM management cares
until the ratings drop to the golden parachute level.
The reporters might, but who do they think they are?

2. It will hard for the MSM to make room in the next weeks
what with Micheal Jackson's trial and Martha Stewart getting out of prison.

5. How do we get this rolling?
I've read a couple threads (here and on another different blog) the last few days where people are discussing how wonderful it would be to have a liberal/progressive cable network news channel. In both cases, everyone agrees it's a great idea, but it never seems to go anywhere.

I think this is one of the only things that's going to help us in all
our efforts. The only people aware of what we're doing are the
recipients of our letters, and other's reading blogs. I imagine there
are many lost, scared progressives out there who don't read blogs and
must surely feel the doom we do.

I was thinking if we came up with a couple wealthy progressive
businesspeople who could potentially start a new network, we could
start a letter writing campaign. There are enough progressive blogs
that we could spread the message and can you even imagine the support
that would flood in???

How can we do this people? How should we start this?

6. You have an absolutely great and necessary idea------ a counter
to the Fox liars.

I think the best way to get going on this would be someone like I can't think of his name now who had contributed (Soros) that is who I was thinking of to get behind CBS and convince them to go counter to Fox.

I say this because you already have network in place, you already have a team of journalists and programing suited to this type of a network.

This also would be a great way for Soros if he is interested and he has indicated so in the past to really get his message across.

What do you think?

7. Could this mean anything?
Your idea of using an existing network is brilliant. We could snag all the truth tellers - Olbermann, John Stewart, some I'm not sure of their political leanings but possibly Anderson Cooper, Aaron Brown. I'm sure there are others who'd love to have a job that allowed them to actually use their talents in journalism rather than be on a short leash and be limited to force feeding the public redundant formulated crap.

Speaking of Soros - I found that he and Buffet have recently been purchasing cable company stocks. Seems about everything except Fox.

Buffett, Soros make cable buys

Buffett's firm doubles holdings in Comcast; Soros buys Time Warner, Echostar.

Berkshire Hathaway Chairman and CEO Warren Buffett.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Billionaire investors Warren Buffett and George Soros are getting hooked up with cable.

Filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission show Buffett's company, Berkshire Hathaway (Research), doubled its holdings in Comcast Corp. (Research), the nation's largest cable operator to 10 million shares, during the fourth quarter, while it dumped its shares in hospital operator HCA (Research) and slashed its holdings in athletic apparel manufacturer Nike (Research).

Soros Fund Management LLC disclosed in its own SEC filing that as of Dec. 31, it owned 2.6 million shares of Time Warner (Research), owner of Time Warner Cable, the nation's No. 2 cable operator, as well as a host of other media properties, including CNN/Money. It had no shares in Time Warner at the end of the third quarter.

Soros's fund also bought 17 million shares of satellite television operator Echostar Communications (Research) during the quarter, adding another company it did not own on its earlier report. And it bought 209,272 shares of media conglomerate News Corp. (Research), which besides owning a number of broadcast and cable networks recently gained satellite television provider DirecTV...

Maybe we're experiencing one of those "serendipity" things where an thought/idea goes out to the universe, and suddenly everyone's picking up on it, thinking about and talking about the same thing. Maybe, just maybe truth, justice, goodness and love really do defeat lies, injustice, evil and hate and there's something in the works???

I know I'm being fooishly over-optimistic, but compared to everything we've been dealing with the last 4 years, this seems like a very good thing!!

Then there's the new "Open Press Source ASsociation". I'm hoping this is just the beginning for us! It's a very encouraging start!

8. one day of occasional mention of the issue
by then, a straw man that blames the left somehow will emerge

3 or 4 days of exploring the strawman

then 3 to 5 days of ridiculing the left
