i can seriously see this happening. they are getting too vocal, they are too close together. too much air/face time. its early i know and this is just a hunch but i'm not gonna be at all surprised when the time comes.

i'm gonna bookmark this.

1. This is where the Republican party and the media want this
to go eventually, but their first choice is a catfight between Hillary and Condi.

4. Lieberman is a non-starter
can't make it. He's the reason Gore's lead wasn't larger in 2000.

You'd be surprised how much prejudice still exists in the 'good ole USA'.

5. you are right
I just hate right wing assholes who wrap themselves in religion and pretend to be Democrats. My prejudices are unlikely to change.

6. Yeah that's it
It's cause Joe is a Jew that he's not popular among Dems.

Not.

Here's a clue: He's an asshole.

there's never been one who doesn't worship on any day either but you don't see me declaring it's discrimination.

Lieberman is a right winger. Deal with it.

22. While their certainly still is a great deal of prejudice
in the U.S., I hope you aren't suggesting that all who do not jump up with joy to support Sen Lieberman are antisemitic?

15. I hope you're wrong about this.
But I do see your point. At some point, though, Lieberman especially is going to have to be vocal against some key * positions, and he hasn't done that. Ever. And until he does, there's no reason to expect him to get the VP nomination.

17. Those two have zero chances in either the Democratic Primary or the GOP
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 01:29 PM by w4rma
Primary. They are DLC sell outs and the Democratic voters know this.

The corporate media gave all sorts of attention to Lieberman during the Democratic Primary, last year, also. He used that attention to LOSE support, instead of gain support by ticking off and insulting every Democrat he could. Biden is no different.

21. Lieberman is so clueless he actually thought
Dems would support him in the primaries, even after watching him kiss the chimp's ass for four years. I predict if he faces progressive opposition in CT in 06, he may be consulting for some insurance company by 08.

Biden loves committee hearings where he can hog camera time by straddling both sides of the fence. "You know Condi, I really think you are a vile little liar, but on the other hand, I am privileged to support your nomination because I'm a pink tutu wearing spinless, useless excuse for a Democratic Senator."

Neither of these clowns would make it past Iowa.

19. I doubt we will see Lieberman on a national ticket again.
He did miserably in the primaries. That finished it for him. Biden is another who did not do well in primaries. but that was long ago. I think he may have screwed the pooch with his bankruptcy vote and that will be used by the left to finish him off. I hope so. I think that was the real reason, not Bill's surgery, that Hillary didn't vote. Now either side can't use it against her in a primary.
This is going to be a battle between the old DLC mentality and the "new progressives' @006 will have a huge impact on this race. All bets are off until we see what shape Congress is going to be in. That will do a lot to determine the nominee.

23. Corporate money and corporate media blabberings
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 01:52 PM by Pithy Cherub
will flow into the coffers of these two faux illusionists first. It will be a best one-time only shot to create - drum roll please - MOMENTUM. Badumbump...

Biden and Lieberman are jealous and so start their "whispering talks" by diminishing others and trumpeting miniscule successes. Biden will telegraph his intentions by writing a book first (keep a good eye in Publishers Weekly) with a foreward by Joementum I.

The base has proven it has muscle beyond belief. Compromising the base and those values no longer exists as a viable option. That is was is causing great angst in DC - the power USED to reside there. It is a new day... :9

24. Don't change a thing about your big tent party. If you kick out the
fiscal conservatives... the Democratic Party will fold.

I am tired of this campaign and again ask - it does not matter if you are the tool of a freeper or a freeper tool - if you destroy the democratic party and the big tent.. you have destroyed it.

There will not be a democratic win if you kick out the fiscal conservatives. Only 1% of people voted for Ralph Nader. Everybody else voted for trade.

Not trying to comment on their record as senators, but, sadly, W is better public speaker than either.
