DNC delivers your voice to Congress
Last week we asked you to sign a petition saying that you stood with Congressional Democrats in their battle against Social Security privatization - a plan that would involve cutting benefits and borrowing trillions of dollars from foreign governments. Last night, your signatures and comments - over 216,000 of them - were printed on 11,600 sheets of paper and loaded into boxes. Earlier today we wheeled the boxes into the Capitol and delivered them to House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, where he read through them, invited reporters in to discuss the serious dangers of the President's Social Security plan, and thanked you all for your support.

Your voices are making a difference. If you haven't done so already, please sign the petition today.

I sometimes wonder if all the petitions we all sign do any good, this is encouraging.

3. I know. Nice to see it in action.
This is the way DFA used to do. They would show when an event occurred. Makes it more real. This was when the petition for paper ballots was presented to Rush Holt. JUne 2004
