Check out this liberal warrior on the Newshour slamming Wolfowitz!
He's excellent! Says Wolfie is despised by most of the people around the world as the architect of this Iraq War, which is also universally despised.

1. Missed it!
Actually, since I'm down to 10 min. of news a day, I pretty much miss everything.

Did he mention Wolfowitz's true calling--aside from ordering needless massive death? Wolfowitz studied with Milton Friedman doncha know. The world just doesn't have enough unfettered completely lawless dehumanizing "open markets."

Baghdad Year Zero

This Naomi Klein article from Harper's, although long, explains it all:

In only a few months, the postwar plan to turn Iraq into a laboratory for the neocons had been realized. Leo Strauss may have provided the intellectual framework for invading Iraq preemptively, but it was that other University of Chicago professor, Milton Friedman, author of the anti-government manifesto Capitalism and Freedom, who supplied the manual for what to do once the country was safely in America’s hands. This represented an enormous victory for the most ideological wing of the Bush Administration. But it was also something more: the culmination of two interlinked power struggles, one among Iraqi exiles advising the White House on its postwar strategy, the other within the White House itself.

....a must read!

It is especially "a must read" for those who wish to grasp the true nature of the latest slap in world's face: the nomination of Wolfowitz.

7. As Bush announced the appointment he was all over words like 'poor',
'help', all sorts of words that include empathizing. We all know that neocons are 'efficiency experts'. They laud the tools sociopaths like Hitler used. They consider (and have written about this) empathy to be dangerously misplaced guilt. They feel that all of us folk out there with our hearts & shit - are delusionals and make the wrong assumptions because we come from a "frame" that included nurturing.

I suspect that Bush is running out of neocons since he seems to have to recycle them.
