and its confused materialistic ethic about 'life' is involved. They have a lot of trouble with end-of-life decisions of the kind; remember they way they went after Jack Kevorkian and the Oregon euthanasia law?

Florida is close enough that Jebbie and the likes need the Christian Right vote very badly. The Christian Right has caught on to this and, as federal level disappointment abounds, they demand more on the state level from Republicans.

I think this political well is dry, but Republicans are doing what they can to extract a little more partisan advantage from it. It's called Culture War.
