But then I think back and what was it ... two? ... three? State of the Union speeches ago and the monkeyman was talking about it back then. Given that they'd had this arrow in their quiver a long time. I have to wonder why they shot it now. :shrug:

there wasn't much going on regarding votes and TV time in Congress, so this story filled the bill, giving everyone some "face time" (and apparently there wasn't an empty seat in the hearings)as well as giving the cable news stations something to air that didn't waste any of their brain cells (my analysis). The media is just damned lazy.
