take NATO in the streets of washington to remove this regime, and it will take at least 10 years.

I'm sorry.

9. According to NewsMax.com, Hanks took the lead in "Stop Arnold" movement.
With Carl Limbacher and NewsMax.com Staff
For the story behind the story...

Friday, Aug. 22, 2003
Tom Hanks, Sheen, Harrelson Pile on Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger might not be a conservative, but he has the far left in a tizzy - and movie star Tom Hanks is taking the lead in the "stop Arnold" movement.

Hanks "and many other card-carrying Hollywood Democrats" are ganging up to sabotage his gubernatorial campaign, the New York Post's Page Six column reveals today.

"Tom was furious when article in the Los Angeles Times appeared on Tuesday, saying Creative Artists Agency would help Arnold in his bid for governor," Page Six's La-La Land source says. "Tom and other power players are absolutely against Arnold becoming governor."

The Times claimed that Schwarzenegger "has asked CAA to join his political effort, largely by tapping the Beverly Hills-based agency's entertainment relationships to help raise campaign funds and rally voters."

18. A modern politician must be able to look good, and deliver their lines
Ronald Reagan, and Pope John Paul the Second were actors. They showed of what value acting ability can be. Arnold only became Governor, because he's an action adventure movie star. Bill Clinton, though never a professional actor, knows how to act, and deliver a star performance. Tom Hanks, like Ronald Reagan, has played the likable everyman hero so well, that he is nearly universally loved, more than any other living actor. That is who he is in the public mind. That is who he seems to be in real life. Why not take advantage of it?

Right now, we're just movie star crazy in this country. So now, lets have movie star versus movie star running for the Oval Office.

Why not? The country is going to hell anyway. Why not have entertainment there? It's like the band that entertained the passengers on the Titanic.

31. He Believes In A Woman's Right to Choose
Q: What are your views on abortion?

Sheen: I cannot make a choice for a women, particularly a black or brown or poor pregnant woman. I would not make a judgment in the case. As a father and a grandfather, I have had experience with children who don't always come when they are planned, and I have experienced the great joy of God's presence in my children, so I'm inclined to be against abortion of any life. But I am equally against the death penalty or war-- anywhere people are sacrificed for some end justifying a means. I don't think abortion is a good idea. I personally am opposed to abortion, but I will not judge anybody else's right in that regard because I am not a woman and I could never face the actual reality of it.

55. Well there's a campaign blunder
I had no idea that was Martin Sheen's position on abortion. Where the hell was he during the campaign. We could have used voices like his to put the consistency in Kerry's supposedly equivocal position. Which wasn't equivocal at all, lots of women say they would never have an abortion, but don't want to put that judgement on other women.

Alec Baldwin is not nearly as popular with the public, nor does he have as heroic an image with common humility as Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks for President! Governor Hanks of California first, President Hanks of the United States of America next.

39. I love Tom Hanks, but why would he give up a job where he is
allowed to say whatever he wants and DO whatever he wants without outside pressure from his party? Honestly, I think MOST actors can do a much better job of leading this country by using their money and their faces to promote good causes and set good examples the way Hanks has! Eventually those good examples and real words coming from RESPECTED and GROUNDED Hollywood types would get to through to a few folks on the fence. These people have NOT been speaking out! They spoke in large numbers during the Vietnam War, but it seems to me they are sitting back testing the wind in case their statements might effect their careers. They think the wind is blowing "thuglican" so they are staying out of it. Remember careers were destroyed and actors and directors were blacklisted and labeled communists not too long ago. There is seemingly a trend in that direction now. I can't say I blame them for being scared, but THEY need to remember how powerful THEY can be in LARGE numbers. If they ALL speak out they have the power to combat AIDS, HUNGER, and MANY other issues. Fear has this country by it's collective balls IMO, and Hollywood is cowering right along with the rest of us!
